D is for Dominatrix

D is for Dominatrix!

While I originally wanted you to hear from zucchini through a post on ‘A Day in the Life of zucchini’, I decided that I was tired of waiting and sure that our readers were just of tired of waiting for a blog post too!

Just so you know, zucchini now has an extra mark on his chalkboard for failing to deliver his post to share with all of you and will receive another deadline for sharing about his life as a slave for Lady Aana.

As I currently write, he is sleeping quietly like a baby. We played for a bit earlier this evening. I am not sure that he was expecting it, as we are traveling on vacation by air and I had to be creative with the few toys that I could pack. For this trip, I decided on the following:

  • the Humbler
  • 4 cords of black rope
  • Smith & Wesson hand cuffs
  • Smith & Wesson leg irons
  • Lollipop paddle
  • Bamboo kitchen spoon 🥄
  • 12 inch wooden ruler
  • Lelo Soraya <for my pleasure>
  • Lelo medium personal massager
  • tealight candles

You may be asking, what exactly is a Dominatrix?

According to Merriem Webster dictionary, a Dominatrix is

«  a woman who physically or psychologically dominates her partner in a sadomasochistic encounter; broadly : a dominating woman. »

Amazingly, this word was first introduced in 1971, derived from Latin, it is the feminine of Dominator. It sounds so much more serious, doesn’t it.

In our language today, we have many synonyms and abbreviations for Dominatrix: Domme, Dom, FemDom, Mistress and my personal favorite is Domina.

A Dominatrix conjures up so many images in my mind:

  • Fetishwear
  • Over the thigh patent leather boots
  • Crops, floggers, cuffs
  • Sexy
  • Powerful
  • Controlling
  • Decisive

What does this this noun conjure in your mind?
